You will find both hostels Hochlland and Am Bassin in the center of Potsdam. AM BASSIN is situated at the Bassinsquare and the new HOchLLANDhaus near the river Havel and the new cultural center of Potsdam at Schiffbauergasse.

The historical objects of interest and the large famous parks of Potsdam are all within walking distance from HOchLLAND and AM BASSIN.
From POTSDAM HAUPTBAHNHOF (Main Station) you can reach us within 15 minutes walking. It is faster going by light rail (line map Potsdam):

Three stops to "Platz der Einheit", to get to AM BASSIN with any line
use lines 93, 94 or 99 to the station "Holzmarktstraße" to get to HOchLLAND
